Each Sunday in the Creed, we profess to believe in “one-holy-catholic-apostolic church.” What do these four “marks” really mean? How do they distinguish the Catholic Church as distinct from other Christian denominations? In this informative talk, Dr. Scott Hahn shows how the Church is one, holy, catholic, and apostolic by virtue of its unbroken chain of succession, universally held beliefs, its establishment by Christ, and its guidance by the Holy Spirit. He then discusses these four defining characteristics of Christ's Church and how they are rooted in the ancient Christian faith revealed in scripture and the lived experience of the Church.
